Albert Marquet

Albert Marquet (March 27, 1875, Bordeaux, France - June 14, 1947, Paris, France | Period: Fauvism) was a French painter, associated with the Fauvist movement. He became one of the Fauve painters and a lifelong friend of Henri Matisse. Marquet subsequently painted in a more naturalistic style, primarily landscapes, but also portraits and several female nude paintings.
